Working Principle

The working principle of lithium iron phosphate batteries is based on the intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes. During charging, lithium ions are deintercalated from the positive electrode material (lithium iron phosphate), migrate through the electrolyte to the negative electrode, and intercalate into the negative electrode material. The discharge process is the reverse: lithium ions are deintercalated from the negative electrode, return to the positive electrode through the electrolyte, and release electrical energy.
