Working Principle

Electric Energy Storage

• Battery Cells: This energy storage cabinet adopts 51.2V - 280AH cells, and the cell type is most likely Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP). During the charging process, the electric energy provided by an external power source (such as a solar power generation system, power grid, etc.) causes an electrochemical reaction inside the battery, converting the electric energy into chemical energy for storage.
• Series - Parallel Connection: Multiple cells are combined in series and parallel to achieve the rated voltage (358.4V) and rated capacity (280AH, corresponding to a rated electric energy of 100KWh) required by the energy storage cabinet.

 

Electric Energy Management

• Battery Management System (BMS): Although not detailed in the figure, a general energy storage cabinet will be equipped with a BMS. It monitors various parameters of the battery in real - time, such as voltage, current, temperature, etc. Based on these data, the BMS controls charging and discharging to ensure that the battery operates within a safe voltage, current, and temperature range, avoiding over - charging, over - discharging, over - heating, etc., and ensuring the safety and service life of the battery.
• Energy Management System (EMS, not mentioned in the figure but common in such devices): If equipped, the EMS will coordinate the energy flow between the energy storage cabinet and external energy sources (such as the power grid, renewable energy power generation equipment). For example, it charges from the power grid during off - peak electricity prices and discharges during peak electricity prices or when there is a large electricity demand, achieving economical and efficient energy utilization.

 

Electric Energy Release

• Charging/Discharging Control: When discharge is required, the battery converts the stored chemical energy back into electric energy through the internal circuit. The maximum charging/discharging power of the energy storage cabinet is 140A, and it can continuously and stably output electric energy to the outside within the recommended working current range.
• Inversion Conversion: The rated power of the energy storage cabinet is 50KW. The internal inverter (of types such as Deye/Solis/Megarevo/Other) converts the direct current output by the battery into alternating current to meet the electricity demand of AC loads, such as household appliances, industrial equipment, etc. The rated AC voltage is 400V, and the rated frequency is 50/60Hz, which can adapt to different electrical equipment.

 

Safety and Protection

• Cooling System: An air - cooling method is adopted. During the charging and discharging process of the battery, fans and other equipment are used to dissipate heat from the battery and related components, so that the battery operating temperature is maintained within the range of 0ºC - 50ºC (charging) and - 10ºC - 50ºC (discharging), ensuring the stable performance and safety of the battery.
• Protection Grade: The protection grade reaches IP55, which can prevent dust from entering and can withstand water spraying at a certain angle, adapting to the relatively complex outdoor environment.
• Fire - Fighting System: Equipped with an aerosol fire - fighting type, it can quickly and effectively extinguish fires in case of dangerous situations such as fires, ensuring the safety of equipment and personnel.

 

Communication and Monitoring

• Supports communication methods such as RS485/CAN (battery side) and Ethernet/Modbus/TCP/IP (AC side), facilitating data interaction with external equipment and systems. Through these communication methods, workers can remotely monitor the operating status of the energy storage cabinet, perform parameter settings, fault diagnosis, and other operations.
